- Firstly, you must understand the context in which you’re using the color: Does that color have any kind of connotations within the culture? Why are you using that color? What other logos have that color? What does this color say about this design? What doesn’t it say? Is it for print or web? etc…
- Next: You have to choose wether to work with CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) or RBG (red, blue green).
- Always remember, you’re working on a screen so colors are not the same as they would be printed. ALWAYS print your design to make sure the colors are really what you or your client want BEFORE finalizing.
- Remember color theory.
